600 KG Automatic Sliding Gate Motor
The NICE ROBUS 600 RB600 is designed for compatible sliding gates weighing up to 600 KG. Its higher capacity makes it suitable for larger residential gates and selected commercial entrances where a 400 KG class motor may not provide sufficient operating capacity.
Motor selection should not be based on gate weight alone. Gate length, wheel condition, track alignment, mechanical resistance and expected number of daily opening and closing cycles should also be considered.
Sliding Gates Up to 8 Metres
The NICE RB600 is suitable for compatible sliding gate leaves measuring up to approximately 8 metres. Longer and heavier gates place greater demand on the operator, so the complete mechanical condition of the gate should be checked before installation.
For reliable automatic operation, the sliding gate should move freely and smoothly by hand without excessive resistance.
24V DC Sliding Gate Motor
The ROBUS 600 uses a 24V DC electromechanical motor powered through its integrated electronic control system from a 230V AC mains supply.
The low-voltage motor system allows the controller to manage gate speed, force, acceleration, slowdown, obstacle detection and other intelligent automation functions.
Maximum 600N Starting Force
The NICE RB600 provides a maximum start-up torque of approximately 18 Nm, corresponding to a maximum start-up force of approximately 600 N. Its nominal operating figures are approximately 9 Nm and 300 N.
This provides the motor with the required starting capability for correctly sized sliding gates while allowing controlled operation during normal gate travel.
Up to 0.31 m/s Gate Speed
The standard NICE ROBUS 600 RB600 provides a maximum gate movement speed of approximately 0.31 metres per second.
If significantly faster gate movement is required, NICE also offers dedicated high-speed ROBUS models. The standard RB600 should not be confused with the ROBUS 600 HS.
NICE BlueBUS Technology
The NICE BlueBUS system simplifies the installation of compatible NICE safety accessories by allowing compatible devices to communicate with the control unit through only two wires.
Compatible BlueBUS photocells and other supported safety accessories can therefore be connected with reduced wiring compared with traditional multi-wire systems.
NICE RBA3 Integrated Control Unit
The original RB600 uses the NICE RBA3 integrated electronic control unit. The controller manages motor operation, travel learning, safety inputs, acceleration, slowdown, radio commands and compatible NICE automation accessories.
When ordering a replacement control board, always verify the exact motor generation and existing board reference before purchasing.
Automatic Gate Travel Learning
The integrated controller supports automatic recognition and learning of the sliding gate travel during commissioning. This allows the control system to manage the opening and closing movement according to the programmed gate positions.
Correct travel learning should be completed after mechanical installation and after the required safety devices have been connected.
Obstacle Detection & Safety
The ROBUS 600 electronically monitors gate movement and can detect abnormal resistance during operation. When correctly programmed, the system can respond to an obstacle according to the selected safety settings.
Compatible NICE BlueBUS photocell sensors provide an additional safety layer for vehicles and pedestrians using the automatic entrance.
Smooth Acceleration & Slowdown
The electronic control system provides controlled acceleration when the gate begins moving and slowdown as it approaches the programmed opening and closing positions.
Smooth acceleration and deceleration help reduce mechanical impact on the gate motor, gear rack, wheels, track and gate structure.
Electromechanical Limit Switch
The original NICE RB600 uses an electromechanical limit switch system. This is an important identifying feature when distinguishing the original RB600 from newer ROBUS generations.
When ordering limit-switch parts, control boards or other replacement components, always confirm whether the installed operator is an RB600 or RBS600.
Temperature Sensor & Thermal Protection
The ROBUS system incorporates temperature monitoring that helps adapt motor operation according to environmental conditions while providing thermal protection.
This helps protect the automation system when operating under changing outdoor temperature conditions.
Master / Slave Dual Sliding Gate Function
The NICE ROBUS system supports a Master / Slave configuration for suitable installations using two synchronized sliding gate operators.

Manual Emergency Release
