The latest NICE RBS600HS combines high-speed gate operation with BlueBUS technology, a magnetic limit switch, integrated radio receiver, intelligent travel management and compatibility with optional backup battery systems. The NICE ROBUS 600 HS is specifically designed for applications where both gate capacity and opening speed are important. It can automate compatible sliding gates weighing up to 600 KG and measuring up to 8 metres in leaf length.
The condition of the gate is critical for high-speed operation. Gate wheels, track, gear rack and mechanical structure must be correctly installed and maintained so the gate moves freely without excessive resistance.
0.44 m/s High-Speed Gate Opening
The RBS600HS reaches a maximum movement speed of approximately 0.44 metres per second, equivalent to 44 cm per second. This makes it significantly faster than a standard residential sliding gate operator.
NICE states that in a standard installation a 4 metre gate can open in less than 10 seconds, excluding acceleration and deceleration.
24V DC High-Speed Gate Automation
The NICE RBS600HS uses a 24V DC motor. The electronic control system manages motor speed, force, acceleration and slowdown to provide fast but controlled automatic gate movement.
The 24V system also supports compatible optional backup power and advanced NICE automation accessories.
Magnetic Limit Switch
The current NICE RBS600HS uses a magnetic limit switch. The magnetic limit system provides accurate detection of the opening and closing positions and simplifies installation of the gate end-position references.
The magnetic system also allows the installer to reduce the required gear-rack length compared with some traditional mechanical limit-switch arrangements.
NICE BlueBUS Technology
NICE BlueBUS simplifies installation of compatible NICE safety and control accessories. Compatible BlueBUS devices can be connected to the control unit using only two wires.
The system supports connection of compatible photocells and other NICE control, safety and signalling devices while reducing installation wiring.
Automatic Travel Learning
The ROBUS 600 HS supports automatic learning of working times. During commissioning, the control system learns the gate movement and manages the required operating parameters.
