SOMFY RTS 433.42MHz Technology
The Keytis remote uses Radio Technology Somfy (RTS) at 433.42 MHz. RTS is SOMFY's established one-way radio-control technology used across many compatible gate, garage door and other automation products.
Important: SOMFY RTS operates at 433.42 MHz. Do not advertise this remote as a generic 433.92 MHz transmitter, as this is a different frequency commonly used by many other gate remote-control systems.
SOMFY Keytis 2 RTS Operating Range
For the Keytis NS 2 RTS, SOMFY specifies a nominal radio range of approximately 30 metres. Actual operating distance can vary according to the receiver location, building construction, radio interference and surrounding environment.
The effective range can also be reduced when the transmitter is operated from inside a vehicle or from underneath the dashboard.
CR2430 Battery Powered Remote
The Keytis NS 2 RTS is powered by a 3V CR2430 battery. SOMFY specifies a typical battery service life of approximately 2 years under normal conditions.
