The RIB KING EVO L is designed for compatible swing gate leaves weighing up to 700 KG each. This high capacity makes it suitable for larger and heavier swing gates where standard residential operators may not provide sufficient mechanical capacity.
For a double swing gate, the capacity applies to each individual leaf. For example, two KING EVO L operators can automate a compatible double-leaf entrance where each leaf remains within the specified weight and dimensional limits.

The standard RIB KING EVO L system can be combined with the RIB B2-CRX electronic control board for professional swing gate automation.
The B2-CRX manages opening and closing commands, two swing gate motors, gate-leaf timing, automatic closing, pedestrian access, safety photocells, flashing lights and compatible RIB radio-control accessories.
Single & Double Swing Gate Automation
The RIB KING EVO L can be used for either single-leaf or double-leaf automatic swing gates.
For a standard double swing gate installation, two KING EVO L actuators are fitted – one operator on each gate leaf – and connected to the compatible control panel for coordinated opening and closing.
Pedestrian Opening Function
When used with the compatible RIB control system, the gate can be configured for a pedestrian opening function. On a double-leaf gate, this can allow only one leaf to open when complete vehicle access is not required.
This feature is useful for villas, residential compounds and commercial properties where the vehicle entrance is also regularly used by pedestrians.
Automatic Gate Closing
The compatible RIB control system can be programmed for automatic closing. After the programmed pause period, the gate can automatically close without requiring another remote-control command.
Automatic closing should always be combined with correctly installed and tested safety devices appropriate for the individual gate installation.
Photocell Safety Sensors
Compatible RIB FIT SLIM photocell sensors can be installed with the KING EVO L gate automation system to provide additional safety during automatic opening and closing.
The photocells monitor the protected area and communicate with the gate controller when their infrared beam is interrupted.
Manual Emergency Release
The RIB KING EVO L incorporates a manual release system that allows the swing gate operator to be disengaged when manual movement of the gate is required.
This provides manual access during a power failure, maintenance or troubleshooting of the automatic gate system.
RIB KING EVO L 24V Version
A 24V version of the RIB KING EVO L is available for gates requiring frequent opening and closing. RIB recommends the 24V configuration particularly for intensive-use installations such as apartment buildings.
The oversized KING EVO L mechanics combined with the 24V motor provide a suitable solution for applications with higher operating frequency.
Optional Battery Backup
The KING EVO L 24V can be equipped with optional buffer batteries to maintain automatic gate operation during a mains power failure.
RIB specifies that the 24V version can perform up to approximately 40 cycles during a blackout with the appropriate optional battery configuration. The KING EVO L 24V can also operate normally without batteries.
Important: Battery backup applies to the compatible 24V version and should not be described as standard equipment on every KING EVO L.
