20 Metre Photocell Detection Range
The RIB FIT SLIM provides an infrared operating range of up to 20 metres, making it suitable for a wide variety of automatic gate and barrier entrances.
The transmitter and receiver are installed opposite each other so that an infrared beam passes across the protected entrance. Correct positioning and alignment of both photocells are essential for reliable operation.
Automatic Gate Safety Photocells
Photocells are an important part of an automatic gate safety system. The RIB FIT SLIM monitors the protected area using an infrared beam between the transmitter and receiver.

RIB TX SYNCRO Compatibility

The TX SYNCRO card can synchronize from 2 to 4 pairs of RIB FIT SLIM photocells. RIB specifies that the TX SYNCRO operates with both AC and DC and is designed to help prevent interference between the infrared beams of adjacent photocell pairs.
Multiple Photocell Installation
Large or complex automatic gate entrances may require more than one photocell pair. For example, additional sensors can be positioned at different points around the gate movement area depending on the site design and safety requirements.
Where multiple RIB FIT SLIM pairs are installed, the appropriate synchronization arrangement should be used to reduce the possibility of one infrared transmitter interfering with another receiver.
