CENTURION D5 SMART is an advanced 24V automatic sliding gate motor designed for residential and light-commercial sliding gates weighing up to 500 kg. Combining CENTURION's SMART technology, fast gate movement, battery backup and intelligent security features, the D5 SMART is an excellent automation solution for villas, residential compounds, offices and compatible commercial entrances.
The D5 SMART provides a gate speed of up to 35 metres per minute, supports up to 150 operations per day and includes an onboard 433.92 MHz code-hopping multichannel receiver with memory for up to 1,500 transmitter buttons. Setup and configuration can also be performed wirelessly using a compatible smartphone and CENTURION SMART technology.

The CENTURION D5 SMART is designed for sliding gates weighing up to 500 kg. It is particularly suitable for residential villas, private properties, compounds, offices and compatible light-commercial entrances requiring fast and reliable automatic gate operation.
Motor selection should not be based on gate weight alone. Gate length, wheel condition, track alignment, operating frequency and environmental conditions should also be considered before installation.
Fast Sliding Gate Speed – Up to 35 m/min
The D5 SMART can move a correctly installed sliding gate at speeds of up to 35 metres per minute at the rated 17 kgf push force. Fast opening helps reduce the time a vehicle waits outside a property and provides convenient everyday access.
The actual operating speed can vary according to gate weight, resistance, setup and operating conditions.
24V DC Battery Backup Gate Motor
The CENTURION D5 SMART uses a 24V DC battery-driven motor system. The standard configuration uses two 12V batteries, allowing the gate automation to continue operating during a mains power failure when the batteries are correctly installed, charged and maintained.
The intelligent charging system provides battery diagnostics and communication between the charger and controller for improved system monitoring.
SMART Smartphone Setup & Configuration
One of the major advantages of the D5 SMART compared with older CENTURION gate motors is its SMART configuration technology. Compatible smartphone setup allows installers to configure and commission the gate automation wirelessly.
This provides easier access to operating parameters and diagnostics during professional installation and maintenance.
Built-In 433.92MHz NOVA Receiver
The CENTURION D5 SMART includes an onboard 433.92 MHz code-hopping multichannel receiver with selective transmitter addition and deletion.
The receiver can store up to 1,500 transmitter buttons, providing significantly more radio-user capacity than older residential gate motor platforms.
Electronic Collision Detection
The D5 SMART features electronic collision sensing to detect abnormal resistance while the gate is moving. This forms part of the motor's safety and obstruction-management system.
For a complete automatic gate installation, suitable photocell safety sensors and other safety devices should be installed according to the site requirements.
Advanced Position Control
The D5 SMART incorporates an improved position-control system using Hall-effect technology. This provides accurate gate-position monitoring while offering improved resistance to electrical interference.

CENTURION designed the D5 SMART with an improved theft-deterrent cage to provide additional physical protection for the gate motor.
