The BFT ATHOS AC A25 is designed for swing gate leaves measuring up to 2.5 metres. Its linear actuator design makes it suitable for villa gates, residential entrances, compounds and commercial properties requiring dependable automatic swing gate operation.

The actual permissible gate weight depends on the gate dimensions, hinge condition, geometry, wind resistance and installation configuration. The gate should therefore be assessed before selecting and installing the operator.

230V Electromechanical Swing Gate Operator

The ATHOS AC A25 uses a 230V motor with 280 W power consumption. The irreversible electromechanical mechanism provides reliable opening and closing together with mechanical locking when the gate is stationary.

This conventional 230V design is suitable for residential and commercial applications where a robust linear swing gate operator is required.

BFT ALENA SW2 Control Unit

The ATHOS AC A25 works with the BFT ALENA SW2 control unit for management of single- or double-leaf swing gate automation.

The control system manages the operators and allows compatible command and safety accessories such as remote controls, photocells, flashing lights, push buttons and access-control devices to be integrated into the automatic gate installation.

300 mm Stroke and 110° Opening

The BFT ATHOS AC A25 provides a 300 mm useful rod stroke and supports a maximum opening angle of approximately 110°, depending on the installation geometry and mounting positions.

Correct positioning of the front and rear mounting brackets is essential to obtain the required gate movement and operating angle.

14-Second Cycle Time

The ATHOS AC A25 has an operating cycle time of approximately 14 seconds. Actual gate movement can vary according to the installation geometry and programmed slowdown settings.

Electronic Clutch and Slowdown

The operator works with an electronic clutch for force management and supports slowdown during gate operation. Correct setup helps provide controlled movement as the gate approaches the end of its travel.

Photocell safety sensors and other appropriate safety devices should also be correctly installed and tested as part of the complete automatic gate system.

Mechanical Stops and Gate Travel

The ATHOS AC A25 uses working-time-based travel management rather than integrated end-of-travel limit switches. Correctly positioned mechanical gate stops are therefore important for proper installation and commissioning.

The physical gate, hinges and stops should be checked before programming the ALENA SW2 control unit.

Manual Release During Power Failure

If electrical power is unavailable, the ATHOS AC A25 can be manually released using its triangle-key release mechanism. This allows the gate leaf to be moved manually when necessary.
