CAME DIR10 is an original CAME infrared photocell safety sensor designed for automatic gates, parking barriers and compatible access automation systems. Product code 001DIR10, the package consists of a pair of surface-mounted photocells with a maximum infrared detection range of 10 metres.
The DIR10 uses a synchronized infrared beam to monitor the gate movement area and help prevent the automatic gate from closing when a vehicle, person or other obstacle interrupts the beam. It operates from 12–24V AC/DC and features an IP54 weather-resistant ABS and polycarbonate enclosure for outdoor gate automation installations.

10 Metre Infrared Gate Safety Sensor
The CAME DIR10 provides an infrared detection range of up to 10 metres. One photocell acts as the transmitter while the opposite unit receives the infrared beam.
When a vehicle, person or object interrupts the beam, the photocells send a safety signal to the compatible gate control panel. The exact response depends on the control-panel programming and safety-input configuration.
Synchronized Infrared Beam Technology
The CAME DIR series uses a synchronized infrared beam. This technology is designed to reduce signal interference and allows multiple pairs of compatible DIR photocells to be installed on the same automation system with reduced risk of cross-talk.
This is particularly useful for larger gate installations where more than one safety beam is required.
12–24V AC/DC Power Supply
The DIR10 operates from a flexible 12–24V AC/DC power supply, making it suitable for connection to many compatible CAME gate, door and parking barrier control panels.
Always check the accessory output voltage and safety-input terminals of the control panel before wiring the photocells.
IP54 Outdoor Protection
The CAME DIR10 has an IP54 protection rating and an ABS/polycarbonate enclosure designed for outdoor automation installations.

CAME DIR10 Installation
CAME recommends installing the DIR photocells approximately 50 cm above ground level, with the transmitter and receiver facing each other across the protected area.
