BEA MATRIX-D12-24 is a professional dual-channel inductive vehicle loop detector designed to monitor two independent vehicle detection loops. Operating from a 12–24V AC/DC power supply, it is suitable for automatic parking barriers, sliding gates, industrial doors, vehicle access control and parking management systems.

The dual-loop configuration makes the MATRIX-D12-24 particularly useful for installations requiring two vehicle detection zones, entry and exit management or more advanced traffic-control functions. Automatic loop tuning, adjustable sensitivity and presence or pulse detection provide flexible configuration for professional vehicle automation applications.

Dual Loop Vehicle Detection

The main advantage of the BEA MATRIX-D12-24 is its ability to work with two inductive loops. Loop A and Loop B can be used to create two separate vehicle detection zones within the same gate, barrier or parking application.

This makes the dual-channel model particularly useful for professional parking systems and vehicle entrances where one detection loop is not sufficient.

Automatic Loop Tuning

The MATRIX-D12-24 provides automatic tuning of the connected inductive loops. After installation, the detector adapts to the loop characteristics to provide stable vehicle detection.

Adjustable Sensitivity

Vehicle detection sensitivity is adjustable from approximately 0.005% to 0.5% ΔL/L. Separate loop sensitivity adjustment allows the detector to be configured according to the characteristics of each detection area.

Presence & Pulse Detection

The BEA MATRIX supports presence and pulse detection modes. Presence detection can maintain an output while the vehicle remains over the loop, while pulse mode provides a short output signal for compatible automation functions.

The pulse output can be configured for approximately 100 ms or 500 ms.

25 ms Fast Vehicle Detection

BEA specifies a reaction time of approximately 25 milliseconds, providing fast response for automatic gates, parking barriers and other vehicle-control applications.

BEA MATRIX-D12-24 for Parking Barriers

The MATRIX-D12-24 is particularly suitable for automatic parking barrier and boom gate systems. Two loops can be used where separate vehicle presence, activation or traffic-management detection zones are required.

The exact function of each loop depends on the parking barrier controller, wiring and programmed operating logic.

Automatic Sliding Gate Vehicle Detection

The detector can be integrated with compatible automatic sliding gate systems to provide vehicle presence or activation signals. This is useful at villas, commercial buildings, warehouses, compounds and controlled vehicle entrances.

Choosing the Correct BEA MATRIX Loop Detector

Choose the MATRIX model according to the number of detection loops and available power supply. For two loops with a low-voltage 12–24V AC/DC supply, the MATRIX-D12-24 is the appropriate dual-channel version.

For installations with a 220–240V AC supply and two loops, the MATRIX-D220 should be considered instead.
