This Automatic Door Microwave Radar Motion Sensor is designed to activate automatic sliding doors and swing door operators when approaching movement is detected. Using microwave motion-detection technology, the sensor provides fast and reliable automatic door activation for commercial entrances, offices, hospitals, hotels, shops and other pedestrian access applications.

The sensor operates from 12–24V AC/DC, consumes less than 2W and provides an adjustable detection area for different automatic door installations. It is suitable for integration with compatible automatic sliding door controllers, automatic swing door openers and entrance automation systems.

Microwave Radar Automatic Door Activation

The sensor uses microwave radar motion detection to detect movement within its configured detection area. When an approaching person enters the detection zone, the sensor sends an activation signal to the compatible automatic door controller, allowing the door to open automatically.

Microwave technology provides responsive motion detection and is widely used for automatic pedestrian entrance systems.

Automatic Sliding Door Sensor

This radar sensor can be used as an automatic sliding door activation sensor for glass sliding doors and commercial entrance systems. It can be installed above the entrance and adjusted to detect approaching pedestrian movement.

Typical installations include supermarkets, offices, hotels, hospitals, restaurants, retail shops and commercial buildings.

Automatic Swing Door Opener Sensor

The microwave sensor is also suitable for compatible automatic swing door openers. When movement is detected, the sensor provides the activation command required by the door operator to start the automatic opening cycle.

Compatibility should always be confirmed with the automatic door controller before installation.

12–24V AC/DC Operation

The sensor operates from a flexible 12–24V AC/DC power supply, allowing it to work with many common automatic door controllers and access automation systems.

Motion Activation Sensor vs Safety Sensor

This product is primarily a motion activation sensor. Its purpose is to detect approaching movement and send an opening command to the automatic door operator.

It should not automatically be treated as a replacement for a dedicated presence or anti-closing safety sensor. Where required, a compatible safety photocell, infrared presence sensor or combined activation-and-safety sensor should be installed according to the automatic door system and site requirements.

Automatic Door Motion Sensor Installation

The radar sensor is normally mounted above the automatic entrance and connected to the compatible automatic door controller using the appropriate power and activation terminals.

After installation, the detection angle and detection area should be adjusted so pedestrians approaching the entrance are reliably detected without creating excessive unwanted door openings.
