Microwave Motion Detection for Automatic Doors

The sensor uses microwave motion-detection technology to detect movement approaching the automatic entrance. Microwave signals are transmitted into the detection area and reflected back toward the sensor. Changes caused by a moving person or object are detected and used to trigger the connected automatic door operator.

This makes the sensor suitable as an automatic door activation sensor where hands-free entry is required.

The sensor operates from a flexible 12–24V AC/DC ±10% power supply, allowing it to be used with many compatible automatic sliding and swing door controllers.

Adjustable Detection Area

The microwave sensor provides an adjustable detection area so the activation zone can be configured according to the entrance layout. Your current product specification gives a maximum detection field of approximately 4 metres wide × 2 metres deep when installed at approximately 2.2 metres.

Correct adjustment helps the door respond to approaching users while reducing unwanted activation from movement outside the required entrance area.
