The current set also uses advanced SOMloq2 868.95 MHz radio technology for compatible SOMMER remote controls.

Heavy-Duty 700 KG Swing Gate Motor

The SOMMER twist 350 is designed for heavier swing gates where a smaller residential operator may not provide sufficient capacity. SOMMER specifies a maximum gate leaf weight of up to 700 kg, subject to the gate dimensions and installation conditions.

This makes the twist 350 suitable for heavy villa gates, residential compounds and compatible commercial entrances requiring a powerful 24V swing gate automation system.

For Swing Gate Leaves Up to 4 Metres

The twist 350 supports compatible gate leaves measuring up to 4 metres wide. This gives the operator significantly greater capacity than smaller swing gate motors intended primarily for shorter residential gates.

SOMMER specifically lists the twist 350 as suitable for closed gate panels. This can make it an excellent choice for solid metal and privacy-style gates.

However, a closed gate can experience substantial wind forces. Gate width, height, filling and local wind exposure must therefore be considered when selecting and installing the operator.

SOMMER Patented Braking System

The twist 350 incorporates SOMMER's patented braking system. SOMMER states that this provides high resistance against external forces, including loads caused by strong wind or attempted forced movement.

The SOMMER twist 350 supports a pedestrian opening function. This allows a programmed command to partially operate the entrance rather than opening the complete double gate when only pedestrian access is required.

Single & Double-Leaf Gate Operation

The twist 350 can be used for both single-leaf and double-leaf swing gates. The operator is universally suitable for left- and right-hand installation.

SOMMER also permits selected mixed configurations with compatible twist 200 E, twist 200 EL and twist XL operators where appropriate for the gate installation.

Outward-Opening Swing Gates

The twist 350 can also be used for suitable outward-opening gates when the required special fittings and correct installation geometry are used.

Outward-opening installations should be planned carefully because bracket positioning and operator geometry differ from conventional inward-opening gates.

SOMloq2 868.95 MHz Radio Technology

The current twist 350 set uses SOMMER SOMloq2 radio technology at 868.95 MHz. The included SOMup4 S2 receiver provides 40 radio memory positions for compatible SOMMER transmitters.

An optional SOMMER Memo module can expand the radio memory to approximately 450 commands, making the system suitable for installations requiring additional authorised users.
