The BENINCA JM.4ESA delivers 1200 N of traction and pushing force and is designed for sectional doors with a maximum surface area of 22 m².

Correct motor selection should also consider the actual door weight, spring balance, track condition, door dimensions and expected operating frequency. The garage door should be correctly balanced mechanically before automation.

24V Intensive-Use Garage Door Automation

The JM.4ESA uses a 24V DC motor designed for intensive use. This makes it particularly suitable for applications where a garage door is operated more frequently than a typical single-family residential garage.

BENINCA classifies the JM.4ESA for commercial applications, making it suitable for larger residential buildings, shared garages and commercial sectional-door installations.

CP.J4ESA Control Unit with LCD Display

The JM.4ESA incorporates the advanced CP.J4ESA control unit with an integrated LCD display. The display provides professional access to operating parameters, logic and system configuration.

The controller supports automatic and semi-automatic operating logic together with step-by-step, open, close, stop and photocell inputs.

433.92 MHz Integrated Receiver

The CP.J4ESA includes a built-in 433.92 MHz radio receiver with memory for up to 64 codes.

It supports BENINCA Advanced Rolling Code, Rolling Code and Fixed Code radio encoding systems, providing flexibility when configuring compatible BENINCA remote controls.

Encoder & Electronic Limit Switch

The BENINCA JM.4ESA incorporates an encoder for precise monitoring of the sectional door throughout its movement.

The electronic limit-switch system works with the encoder to provide accurate door positioning, while encoder management also contributes to the operator's anti-crushing safety functions.

STC Intelligent Torque Management

BENINCA's STC System manages torque delivery according to the position and actual requirements of the sectional door.

The system calculates operating requirements throughout the travel, identifies critical points and adjusts torque according to the measured performance of the door. This provides precise and controlled movement while improving operational safety.

Anti-Crushing Obstacle Detection

The JM.4ESA combines amperometric obstacle detection with encoder management. This allows the controller to monitor motor load and door movement to provide anti-crushing protection during operation.

Photocell sensors and a compatible N.C. or 8K2 safety edge can also be connected to the CP.J4ESA controller for additional entrance protection.

Soft Start & Adjustable Slowdowns

The CP.J4ESA allows a slower starting speed for the first two seconds of movement to be configured when required. Adjustable slowdowns are also available to provide smoother movement near the end of the door travel.

Energy-Saving ESA System

The JM.4ESA incorporates BENINCA's ESA energy-saving system. The controller also includes an energy-saving courtesy light for practical illumination of the garage area.

An optional SE.MODULE can be used so standby power consumption complies with European Regulation (EU) 2023/826. When SE.MODULE is installed, however, battery operation is not available.

Optional Backup Battery Operation

Compatible batteries can be integrated into the JM.4ESA so the garage door can continue operating during a mains power failure.

Important: battery backup and SE.MODULE operation are alternative configurations. BENINCA specifies that use of SE.MODULE precludes battery operation.

Adjustable Rail Travel

Door travel is adjustable through mechanical stops in the rail. BENINCA specifies one mechanical stop with belt rails and two with chain rails.

The rail is a separate component and is not included with the JM.4ESA motor itself. The correct rail length and type should be selected according to the sectional door height and installation.
